I was born in Richmond, VA, and raised just outside the city in Chesterfield, VA. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in environmental studies. After graduation, I worked in natural resource management where I participated in prescribed fire and large-scale land restoration projects. After working in natural resource management for a few years, I decided to take the knowledge I gathered and apply it to agriculture.
I want to specialize in medicinal & culinary herbs, cut flowers, and native mushroom production. I am a beginning beekeeper and mushroom forager. I have a special interest in native plants, fruits, and mushrooms. I am curious about herbal medicine. I am also a news junkie interested in policy especially as it pertains to land and food access.
