Soil Health to Go! with Ricardo Leon Bejarano and Huberth Bejarano
September 13 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm EDT

Ricardo Leon Bejarano and his brother, Huberth, are part of a robust compost, biochar, and bokashi-making operation at Pogo Tree Service/ Acme Biomass Reduction in Montgomery County, MD. Ricardo brings, from his home in Costa Rica, a degree from EARTH University as an agronomic engineer, in addition to 18 years in ag education and research with the Costa Rican government. He specializes in collecting “mountain microbes,” his version of EM or effective microbes, which are at the heart of bokashi, a Japanese form of compost in which the waste products are fermented with specialized microbes rather than decomposed.
On September 13, 2023, 12-12:30 PM, the brothers will be our guests for a free, virtual lunch and learn. Join us to learn more about the operation and the value of bokashi to overall soil health.
