Produce Safety 101 Field Day
Join us for an in-person Produce Safety 101 Field Day to learn the fundamentals of produce safety and strengthen food safety practices on your farm while working toward compliance with the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule. Food safety trainers Ruth Tyson and Kimberly Raikes will cover practical best practices and key topics, including: Soil amendments, Worker health and hygiene, Wildlife and domestic animals, Produce safety practices and FSMA requirementsThe field day will also include a tour of the Urban Farm Incubator site with Jon Berger, providing an opportunity to see produce safety practices in action.
