Listening Sessions to Discuss Farmers Market Needs – Maryland

In the Maryland Food System Resiliency Council’s Interim Report, issued on November 1, 2021, the potential of restarting the Maryland Farmers Market Association was identified as an area for future research, investigation, and discussion.
The Maryland Agricultural and Resource-Based Industry Development Corporation (MARBIDCO) has agreed to lead this effort and the Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC) is assisting them in scheduling listening sessions with various groups of stakeholders over the next month or so.
SMADC will be hosting the Farmers Market Managers & Farmers for their listening sessions.
Maryland Farmers Market Managers & Farmers Market Vendors are invited to attend.
There are two dates/times available for folks to join in.
Monday May 16th, 6:00-7:00pm Microsoft Teams meeting
Monday May 23rd, 6:00-7:00pm Microsoft Teams meeting
RSVP to a session by doing the following:
1) Email Shelby at swatsonhampton@smadc.com
2) Title the email “RSVP for Farmers Market Session (add the date of the session you wish to attend)
Emails with the meeting link will be sent the day before the sessions to those who have RSVP’d.
