Join Future Harvest at Potomac Vegetable Farms’ Vienna location (PVF East) for an in-depth field day with farmer/founder Hiu Newcomb on the inner mechanics of running a prolific vegetable CSA operation while building a powerful workplace and customer community. Potomac Vegetable Farms has been growing and selling delicious and nutritious vegetables for over 50 years, using organic practices, forgoing certification, and calling themselves Ecoganic. Come learn about how Hiu and her team make their own rich compost, and apply rock powders, natural minerals and sea products, and use winter cover crops and summer green manure crops religiously to keep their soil microbes happy and healthy.
