Society of St. Andrew, a national nonprofit that works with farmers, packing houses, and farm markets to rescue the good produce that is left behind in the food system, has a new office on the Delmarva Peninsula!

Located in Salisbury, MD, we serve the entire peninsula and also move food into the surrounding urban areas. All produce is given free of charge to local hunger agencies and underserved neighborhoods. As we build our gleaning network, we need:

Farmers and distributors who will share their excess produce (our volunteers can glean the fields or pick up at packing houses)
Volunteers who are interested in making sure food doesn’t go to waste and that our neighbors are fed, and
Contacts with local hunger agencies to help us get the perishable food to those in need as quickly as possible.
