Job Summary:
Spiral Path Farm attends farmers markets in the metro DC area (Silver Spring and Bethesda). We also make deliveries to our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) members in the greater Harrisburg Area. We are seeking an individual to assist our driver with market and CSA deliveries. This employee would also potentially fill in as a driver on an as need basis. Duties include helping driver to set up, sell, and pack up from farmers markets, and help driver to unload boxes at delivery points in Central PA.
Essential Skills Required:
Early riser (see hours below)
Strong verbal communication skills
Good work ethic
Ability to work in a team setting
We will train you to drive non-CDL truck as a backup driver
Pay:
$20/hr for Farmers Markets
$16/hr for CSA Deliveries
Hours:
40-45 hours per week during season(mid April through late December)
Market hours: Saturday & Sunday (28hrs total,4:30am to 6:30pm)
CSA Deliveries: Wednesday & Thursday (15 hrs total, 4:00am – noon)
Spiral Path Farm is a 300 acre diversified organic vegetable farm dedicated to growing the healthiest vegetables possible while enhancing the soil. For over 25 years we have believed that vibrant soils produce the best tasting and healthiest vegetables. We currently sell our vegetables through Wegmans supermarkets, our CSA, and farmers markets in the DC metro area. Spiral Path Farm has built a dedicated team of employees that share our vision and are the backbone of our success. Peak season we have approximately 60 employees, over half of which are local. We are seeking to further build our team with a motivated individual that shares in our mission and can help deliver our vegetables.
