Researchers at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Extension, in collaboration with the 18 other 1890s Land Grant Institutions, are conducting a USDA-NIFA funded study to understand how local communities and farmers perceive adverse weather events and changing weather patterns across the southern and mid-Atlantic states. UMES researchers are specifically requesting Maryland community members complete an anonymous survey on your perceptions of adverse weather events and changing weather patterns. Your input will help researchers learn how weather events such as flooding, drought, extreme heat, saltwater intrusion, and severe storms affect communities, farms, and daily life – and what resources may be needed in the future. We will be accepting surveys until April 1, 2026.

Who Can Participate:
1. Adults 18 years or older
2. Residents of Maryland
3. Farmers and non-farmers are welcome
Time Commitment: 15 – 20 minutes
