1. paperpot transplanter with seeder board, flats, dibbler etc – $800
An original paperpot transplanter (orange) with dibble board, spreader frame, spreader bars, and 17 black plastic flats. Note: we do not have any paperpots to pass along, sadly so you will have to purchase that to get started. This machine is designed to make transplanting faster and easier for one person to do solo. There is a learning curve to get used to gently spreading out the honeycomb paperpot onto the spreader, but once you have it it’s really easy. The black plastic flats are very sturdy and I used them to seed microgreens when I wasn’t using them for transplanting. People say it’s especially nice for beets, salad turnips, and salad greens. I also did scallions. I’ve seen videos of people using them for flowers like zinnias. There’s a ton of content online to help get you started or learn tricks, for example it is possible to put seeds in a specific pattern so that when you transplant the veggies or flowers are closer together or further apart. The only downside is that I left it outside so some of the orange paint peeled away. Otherwise, it’s made of solid metal and works the same now as when I bought it 3 years ago.
2. Jang seeder (6-row) with extra rollers, like new – $2,000
Barely used 6-row jang seeder with extra rollers for sale. We have: three YYJ-12 (for mustard); three LJ-12 (for pelleted seed, radish, beets); and five F-24 (same as LJ-12 but double row). This seeder is in almost new condition, except for some tears on the rubber wheels from use. It has not been used much. It is intended to seed multiple rows at the same time, so our set up allows for seeding 3 equidistant rows of carrots, beets, salad turnips, or radishes across 36″ or five rows of pelletized salad mix. While it can be pushed by 1 person at a time, it helps to have 2 people (one on each side) to ensure that each row is being seeded evenly with pressure to get good seed to soil contact. It can also be attached to a tractor to get the full benefit of seeding 6 rows at a time. The handle comes apart for easier transport. Will take $2,000 OBO.
