We own & operate a 1500 acre family farm in West Central IL that has an
opportunity for an intern interested in agriculture.
This is a paid internship with a 12 year history of interns. Wage, food, lodging, air fare to / from provided.
Briefly about our farm;
Raise Corn, soybeans, milo, hay, & forage cereal rye
Raise non GMO corn for customer specific foreign vendors that visit our farm yearly
Cow herd of 140 commercial & show cows utilizing AI & embryo transfer
Small Dairy herd for the purpose of making A2A2 cows to sell to homesteaders.
Feedyard 200 head capacity slatted floor barn & outside lots
Daughters that show Shorthorn, Hereford, Simmental cattle at state
& national level
2 Railroad sidings on 2 different railroads where we load / unload rail
cars of bulk & ag related commodities
No horses, but several Honda’s
Wife, Carol is high School librarian, BS Animal Science Univ. of IL, MS
Library Science Mankato State University
Kent, BS Animal Science University of IL. Worked in the grain industry for
ADM in 3 states for 8 years.

Intern would need to be female since the living arrangement would be a shared
bathroom with the youngest daughter upstairs in our modern farm home.

Internship runs from Mid June thru Mid August. Additional detail files are available upon request
