Come work with us!
Full time positions available
Good Dog Farm is currently seeking candidates to assist with all farm activities for the 2023 season (April through December). Tasks will include planting, weeding, harvesting, and packing organic vegetables for CSA and wholesale markets. Some experience working in farming or another outdoor work environment is preferred, but not required. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, with a strong attention to detail, and a desire to learn. You will be working directly with the farm owners or our experienced crew leader, and leadership positions are available for candidates with significant field, wash/pack or mechanical experience. Applicants must be able to show up ready to move quickly and efficiently in all weather and enjoy working on a fun, inclusive team.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is also essential that new employees be able and willing to comply with all farm policies designed to mitigate risks to the crew and customers. This also means being fully vaccinated and boosted, except for those exempt under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Agricultural work is essential work and we expect everyone on the farm to take each other’s health and the safety of our food system seriously.
Most positions are full-time, with some part-time availability for those able to take delivery shifts.
We work Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a 30 minute lunch break, and the start time will change seasonally based on daylight and temperature. Base pay begins at $15.00/ hour for applicants with no experience, more for experienced applicants. All new hires have the opportunity for a raise at 60 days and for each subsequent year they return. Full-time employees receive paid sick days and earn PTO and are able to receive limited winter hours (16-24 hours/ week) in the January-March offseason.
A desire and willingness to work outside (in the rain, heat, and cold too!)
Reliable transportation to and from the farm
Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and easily, and work physically all day
Ability to work well in an inclusive team environment
A general can-do attitude and willingness to learn
