Farm Field Manager (One-Year Paid Fellowship)

In partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Trust, The 6th Branch (T6B) is hosting a Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps member for the 2023/24 service year to serve in the role of Farm Field Manager. The application deadline is Thursday, March 9, 2023.

We operate and manage Oliver Community Farm, Johnston Square Farm & Garden, and the Montford Tree & Berry Farm in partnership with the neighborhood organizations.

This is a unique opportunity to begin building a professional network and gain valuable experience and perspective within the following issue areas in Baltimore City:

Environmental Justice / Restoration
Urban Agriculture / Food Systems
Community Organizing / Food Sovereignty

The 6th Branch is a neighborhood development organization dedicated to community revitalization in Baltimore and committed to environmental justice and food sovereignty. We operate a farming program composed of three farm sites intended to raise baseline food security levels in the communities where they are found.

Position Description: On a daily basis, the Farm Field Manager will be directly involved in every aspect of our community farming work, including:

Planting, cultivation, and harvest operations
Organize weekly Community Market events
Volunteer outreach, coordination, and management
Represent T6B to the Baltimore farming community

This is a PAID FELLOWSHIP. The CCCC member will receive a $31,200 stipend from CBT during their service year, which T6B will augment with an additional $10,200.
