Common Good City Farm is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 with a mission to sustain and support a more equitable community through growing, learning, cooking, and sharing fresh food together. Located in DC’s LeDroit Park neighborhood, the farm provides hands-on training in food production, healthy eating, and environmental sustainability to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Common Good City Farm seeks an inspirational leader excited about community building both within and outside the farm. The Executive Director stewards the organization’s mission, vision, programmatic direction, and resources, working side-by-side with a committed team to ensure quality implementation. The ideal candidate would be ready to take the farm’s commitment to serving as a trusted partner in our neighborhood to the next level, while overseeing sound operations and working to resource and sustain the farm’s long-term future. The ED works in collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff to engage the neighboring community, creatively use the farm site to promote community building, and uphold organizational capacity.
