Description: Clark’s Elioak Farm is looking for someone with produce growing experience to join our team. Our farm produce stand is open daily in the summer and our CSA runs for 24 weeks. We have a great Garden Manager and there is plenty of room to expand here, so we are looking for the right person join in! We would love to line someone up for starting in Spring 2024. If you are available to work in September or October for a trial, that is even better.
Job Duties:
Working with Garden Manager and Owner
Planting, seeding, bed making, mulching, and other garden prep
Irrigation set up, weeding, trellising, harvesting, and packing produce and orders
Manage a small crew at different times when Manager is not available
Be comfortable interacting with customers and working at farm market as needed.
Qualifications: Reliable! Positive attitude, self motivated, ready to share knowledge and to learn, hard working, time management skills, organizational skills. Able to work alone, with others, and to manage a small crew. Must listen to instructions and be able to follow them closely. Must have farm experience with growing vegetables successfully. If not experienced, please let us know, applicants will still be considered.
Details: Approximate dates for employment March/April-Oct/Nov, at this time we are taking the winter off from growing. Compensation will be based on experience. Housing options possible, seasonally or year round.
