The DUG (DC Urban Gardener) Network is hosting (4) online courses throughout the 2026 growing season to teach everything needed to successfully grow food in DC. Each course is (8) online classes long, meets virtually on Tuesdays 6-8pm, and will include online lectures and cooperative learning experiences. The timing of most class topic coincides with when the knowledge is needed in the growing season. If you can’t make the class times there will be an option to receive class recordings.
The first Urban Growing course “Planning and Building Gardens” below is open for registration.

March 24 – What to Do Each Month of the Year
***Its okay if participants can’t make every class. Any missed classes can be made up by watching the recording and completing the class assignment. ***
