About Red Wiggler and the Care Farming Network:
In 2018, Red Wiggler recognized its position as a leader in the Care Farming movement and officially established the Care Farming Network in the United States to bring together farms working specifically with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Care Farming Network is a catalyst for creating and sharing resources for Care Farms to be successful. Through sharing successes and collaborating on challenges, Care Farms can increase their impact on creating meaningful employment for adults with disabilities through vocational horticultural therapy.

Red Wiggler is a nonprofit sustainable farm where people with and without developmental disabilities come together to work, learn, and grow healthy food. Founded in 1996, we now serve over 1,900 community members, have a 120-share CSA program, distribute 50% of organic produce to low-income households through our Farm to Group Home and Farm to Food Bank programs, employ 15 adults with developmental disabilities, and regularly host field trips and volunteers.
