Hey there Future Harvest Community!

My name is Kern, I am an aspiring farmer who would like to gain some experience and help out on a farm or two this upcoming season (2026). Ideally, I would like to secure a full-time, year-round position. In 2024, I completed the Beginner Farmer training program through Future harvest, and I have a season of experience volunteering and working on Urban farms in Baltimore City. I would love another couple of seasons working with an experienced farmer to develop my knowledge and skills so that I can have a commercial farm of my own in the future.

I was living in North Carolina for the past three years, where I gained a few years of landscaping experience, but now I am back in my hometown of Catonsville.

I am particularly interested in growing fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers and bee keeping. I am interested in selling to restaurants and to have my own CSA or to contribute into a larger more established CSA. I also love compost!
